When Y Combinator decided they wanted to visit Nigeria as part of their International tour in September 2016, they had a three key goals in mind.

  1. Increase the number of applications they were getting from Nigeria and West Africa at large
  2. Raise the profile of Y Combinator in the Nigerian Technology Ecosystem
  3. Meet with and develop relationships the local ecosystem players including Government.

After their trip, Y Combinator applications from Sub-Saharan Africa increased by 200%. Of the 20 companies for which we organized office hours, 5 were accepted, and 7 West African companies in total. YC is now connected with the Nigerian government, State Department, local startup community, and active angel investment network. 

Ingressive also developed the itinerary with Y Combinator, organized complete logistics, including Pre-Vetted Event Guests Lists, Airport Pickup, Transportation, Meals and Security.
